Second Lieutenant is the second rank at squadron level. It is second lowest rank in the Rebel Squadrons. A Cadet may be promoted to this rank by one of two ways: they graduate from their fleet's academy with honors; or they earn the Beginner's Path Honors Ribbon. A Lieutenant Junior Grade may be promoted to this rank by their Primary Squadron Commander for consistently showing they are dedicated to the Rebel Squadrons.^[[1]]
